长期从事固体自润滑材料的研究，研究成果申请国家专利2项，并且应用到长江三峡工程中，有利用有限元软件进行自润滑材料设计，以及材料制备、摩擦磨损性能与机理分析等方面经验，以第一作者或通讯作者在源刊发表了的SCI论文，有3篇为二区，被SCI核心合集中引用了97次，他人引75次。

在材料学院的“感恩心旅.吾爱吾师”活动中，年年被评为“最受欢迎的教师”或“最美的教师”。

(1）指导15名毕业硕士研究生，毕业前都找到自己满意的工作，没有1个延期毕业。2015年6月毕业的周福麒在南宁富士康工作，扣除“五险一金”后，到手月薪6000元。

(2）在beat365体育亚洲入口指导的7个研究生中，其中李文娟、陆毅、王妮娜等3位研究生获广西自治区优秀研究生，李文娟与方伟获校研究生一等奖学金（8000元），陆毅获二等奖学金（4000元）。
