关于湘潭大学李继春教授来校讲学的预告

应数学与计算科学学院、广西应用数学中心(beat365体育亚洲入口)及广西高校数据分析与计算重点实验室邀请，湘潭大学李继春教授将于2024年1月6日来校讲学，欢迎全校师生踊跃参加。报告具体安排如下：

报告题目：Analysis and simulations of Maxwell’sequations in PMLs and graphene

报告摘要：

Maxwell’s equations play an important role in analyzing and modeling of wave propagation in electric and optical materials. In this talk, I’ll  focus on some new variations of time dependent,Maxwell’s  equations resulting from some complex electromagnetic materials such as metamaterials, graphene, and perfectly matched layers. Mathematical analysis and numerical simulations of these models will be discussed. Some open issues will bementioned.

主讲人简介：

李继春，湘潭大学，数学与计算科学学院教授。曾担任德克萨斯大学奥斯汀分校博士后研究员和加州大学洛杉矶分校应用数学研究所（IPAM）副所长。研究领域包括有限元方法、高阶紧差分方法、RBF无网格方法以及偏微分方程在各个领域的应用。发表SCI论文140余篇，专著2部。在2022年Research.com全美前1000名数学家排名中位列第965位，全世界数学家排第2261位。目前担任《Results in Applied Mathematics》的主编，《Computers & Mathematics with Applications》的执行主编。
